pond or lake.
The stocking rates
below apply only when stocking fingerling fish.
Hybrid Bluegill are considered a sports fish. Not to be used for a forage base because they only have a 10% female population. Coppernose are better suited for your forage base. Redear are also another great fish to add to your pond or lake. b>
Ornamental Koi may
be added to any of the stocking rates below without changing the overall stocking
densities. |

When stocking Grass Carp we recommend 10 per acre of vegetation.
Vegetation will always grow more abundantly in clear water ponds. For this reason
we strongly recommend that in all spring fed ponds, the Grass Carp be stocked at a
rate of 15 per acre of vegetation.
Triploid Grass Carp are required in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, South Carolina,
North Carolina,& Louisiana.
